About Us
Pood was born from a clear vision: to create pieces of excellence where art and architecture meet.
Its origins go back to Paris, where Rui Ribeiro - founder and creative director - built a solid career in the world of renovation and high-end interior design. Arriving in the French capital in 1997, he began working as an independent contractor, later founding the company DCR Renovation. As the business grew, his brother Marco Ribeiro joined the company. This partnership marked the beginning of a new phase, culminating in the opening of the company's first showroom in 2012 on the prestigious Rue de Bourgogne, next to the French National Assembly.

In 2016, the company adopted the commercial name DCR Intérieurs and conquered a new space in the heart of Paris' Golden Triangle, on Rue de Grenelle - side by side with the biggest international design brands. It was in this context that the pood brand was born - initially as an incubated project within the DCR Intérieurs structure.
After two years of development, the brand's first model was launched in 2018: Revelation - a piece that defines Pood's identity. With 45° cuts, silent geometry and an innovative structure that allows the application of natural stone only 5 mm thick, the model stands out for its sculptural presence and technical minimalism.
In 2019, Revelation P19 arrived, with the introduction of a bar area on the island and an even more refined language. The following year sees the Revelation P20, which reinforces the idea of a single block and introduces a suspended linear module attached to the wall, increasing the visual lightness of the composition.
In 2021, Pood presents the Soap model, the result of a collaboration with a guest artist. With soft volumes, rounded corners and a more organic presence, the piece represents the brand's openness to formal experimentation and dialogue with other creators.
The brand has made a name for itself in France and Europe, integrating emblematic projects and establishing collaborations with architects, interior designers and demanding clients.

In 2020, in the context of the pandemic, Rui Ribeiro returned to Portugal with his family, keeping management at bay. In 2024, with the closure of DCR Intérieurs, the brothers decide to start again from the beginning - Guimarães - transforming Pood into an independent brand, with its own structure and global vision.
Today, based in Guimarães (Portugal), Pood continues its journey as an independent brand, establishing itself as a benchmark in the world of signature kitchens, with a presence in highly prestigious national and international projects.
Modus Operandi
Pood satisfies its clients through a meticulous approach based on listening, personalisation and rigour at every stage of the process. Each project begins with a careful reading of the space and the client's expectations, evolving through proposals designed with clarity and intention. The brand works with specialised partners, ensuring precise execution that is faithful to the defined concept. Monitoring is close, continuous and adapted to each case, ensuring that every technical and aesthetic decision is taken with awareness. It is this way of operating - attentive, demanding and silent - that allows Pood to deliver unique results with consistency and meaning.

Founder & Creative Director

Rui Ribeiro
'Pood is instinctive, demanding and driven by a deep desire to create with meaning.
I identify with that energy - the constant curiosity, the rigour, the refusal to follow standards. Neither I, nor pood, see ourselves in the predictable. The brand is my work in continuous development - a territory where there is always something new to explore, a detail to perfect, an idea to reveal.’
