Lourenço Mendes

Architect

As an artist, he develops his work at the confluence of art, space and construction. The kitchen appears in his career not as an isolated functional element, but as an architectural object with a symbolic charge and expressive potential. Each project is based on a reflection on scale, rhythm and presence, where the technical gesture is inseparable from the plastic intention. His approach reveals an almost choreographic attention to form and matter, fusing structural precision with a sculptural sensibility that transforms everyday life into poetic territory.

‘A monolithic composition in natural grey stone, where the sobriety of the shapes and the precision of the alignments reflect a silent aesthetic, designed for open spaces and contemporary living.’

Soap (Fabrico)

The Soap model represents a more organic and tactile approach. Its rounded shapes evoke softness and invite touch, inspired by the natural erosion of stone and the simplicity of a soap sculpted by use.

Despite its delicate appearance, it is a technically demanding piece, executed with great constructive rigour. The curved corners are precisely integrated into the body of the piece, eliminating sharp edges and reinforcing its monolithic reading.

As with the other models, the absence of visible handles keeps the surface clean and continuous, while the materials can be adapted to the client's preferences without compromising the sculptural character of the piece.
